This is the city’s business hub and the commercial core of Vietnam. District One is viewed as the prime location and maintains the highest standard of living throughout all twenty-four districts. Note that despite its imposing corporate developments, Vietnamese daily life is still experienced at every corner, and there is, culturally, much to absorb in this vibrant part of town. It’s also a place for banks, international hotel chains, consulates, administrative buildings, and global cuisine.

District 1 is six kilometers south of Tan Son Nhat International Airport and covers an area of 7.7 km2. It is bordered by the Thi Nghe Canal, District 3, District 4, District 5, and Binh Thanh. From B.A.O., it will take 16 minutes to reach the heart of District 1, approximately 6.2km. Below are the top sights and things to do in District 1.

Tao Dan Park

Tao Dan Park is an urban park in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam behind the Independence Palace. It is one of the largest parks in the city, covering 10 hectares. Part of the park will be used for the Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 2's Tao Dan Station.

Bach Dang Wharf
